Hello, lovelies! As you may know by now, brunch is one of my favorite meal times… ever! :D For my hubby’s birthday, we tried out the brunch at Charbar, down by the river. Their menu is always so unique, and they offer delicious Phil & Sebastian coffees too! For breaky Linda and I opted for the crushed whole avocado on toasted sourdough with fried eggs, and of course, added bacon! My Hubby had the village breakfast with beef chorizo, bacon, eggs, and sourdough. We were also completely spoiled with a little sweet starter, on the house! We got to try to deep-fried french toast bites with dulce de leche caramel dipping sauce… YUM! :) Definitely a must-try when you stop in for brunch at Charbar. What are some of your favorite brunch spots in the city? Xo

Hello, Lovelies! Happy Monday to you all. Today on the blog is a fun, free-spirited look captured before the greens of summer were completely gone, but fall was definitely in the air. I love a simple, all-white look. There’s just something about it that makes for a fresh feel, reminiscent of summer. Yet, I find this breezy head-to-toe all-white look is perfect for the fall season. A great way to make this monochromatic look more exciting is to add in a few different textures. Like this knit-cardigan and the distressed look of the denim. The different fabrics add that extra something to spice up the look. Plus, what is better than throwing in a nude heel to smooth out the look while still keeping it uniform? Now accessories give you a whole other way to play with the style and round off the all-white look with a pop of color. Let the white attire be your backdrop on which to play, and find ways to “create art” with your accessories. Add a dainty piece, like a simple pendant necklace, for an understated look that lets you be the focal point. Finally, play around some more with the textures in the accessories as well! This rose gold mesh watch strap and snakeskin green purse makes for the perfect additions, truly capturing fall time in the forest. What are some of your favorite ways to pull off an all-white look? Hello Lovelies! Today we had such a fun day it reminded me of our time at Ollia Macarons & Tea at the wine and macaron pairing event, perfect for a Throwback Thursday post :) by Ollia is the cutest Macaron & tea shop here in Calgary, with the most delicious eats and treats. This summer we had the best time at one of their Macaron Pairing Events together with Flying Wines. We tasting several different flavors of macarons, paired up with a uniquely sourced drink from France. Our first pairing was a delicious Sassy cider together with a Salted Caramel macaron. Next, we moved on to a Macon Chaintre Chardonnay paired with a Lemon Poppyseed macaron – yum! :) Then we got to try a splash of Mourgues du Grès Rosé with a Rose Petal Macaron, again, perfectly matched! Finally, we ended the night with a delicious Julienas Red deliciously paired with a Rocher Chocolate macaron. Definitely such a fun night, and learned so much about the different regions in France and the culture as we went along our tasting journey. Which macaron pairing event will you check out next? <3
Hello lovelies! Today I am so excited to share with you all about my experience with Skoah Skin Care! I was invited for a fully customized, Facialiscious facial at the Skoah in Willow Park here in Calgary. At Skoah, they call facials “skin care workouts”. The workouts include some deep cleansing and exfoliation, customized masks, and an amazing muscle-melting massage. But don’t you worry, these workouts are relaxing, blissful, and ‘sweat-free’ :) All their products are made with amazing high-quality, highly-refined lipids and oils such as olive oil, shea butter, and coconut oils. Yum! They even have amazing “skin gym” membership options to get monthly facials, including perks like getting 10% off on their products and special member-only gifts!
So can I just say again, it was literally the best facial I have ever had. Skoah is one of the first salons in the industry who focuses just on facials. Amazing! They are so attentive to exactly what your skin needs, and they even give you a little “report card” to help keep track of the work you’ve done for your skin. I also got to peruse their amazing line of products and opted for simply adding a few products to my existing skin care routine. Since I haven’t found a good toner in a while, I chose the Tonik, which smells amazing and reminds me of my facial every time a spritz :) Then I also got the hydradew mask, which helps add that extra bit of moisture I need for these dry Calgary winters! Plus, it smells like fresh cut Mellon, which is always a necessity!
Now, if you love a facial as much as I do, or just know that you are way overdue for that skin workout, you are in luck! I have teamed up with the lovely ladies at Skoah to give all my amazing readers a special offer! Simply use the link below to book your own personalized 45-minute facial (valued at $85!!) for only $35. Hello lovelies, and happy Fri-Yay to you all! :) Today has been a busy day of running errands and getting ahead in work. So today’s post is just a quick reminder of what is really important in life. This week we celebrated some exciting wins and milestones, both in business and in life! And one of the things I always live by is to celebrate the little things, and not to blaze over life’s wins without taking a moment to smile. So, what is more perfect than a bit of Ruffino Prosecco to welcome in the weekend? I am a sucker for a glass of prosecco and it has become a fun tradition in our family to stop and take a minute to cheers to our successes with those we love the most. Whether it’s with friends or family, the most important are the memories of getting to that point of finally reaching the top of the mountain, whatever that mountain is for you. What are some of your favorite ways to celebrate the wins in your life? <3 Xo
